CA final also to be held 3 times a year

Announcement

In March 2025, it was announced by ICAI (decision of 26th Council of ICAI), that CA Final exams also will be held three times a year. The announcement, made was via a press release by the Public Relations Committee of ICAI.( on 27.03.2025)

History

Previously in March 2024, President of ICAI announced that CA Intermediate and Foundation course examinations will be held thrice a year, in the month of January, May/June and September.

While making that announcement, President of ICAI mentioned that, globally the frequency of examination is more and hence students get more opportunities to appear for the exam. Taking that into consideration, ICAI has also decided to increase the frequency of the CA Foundation and Intermediate Examination from twice to thrice per year.
But at that point of time, no announcement was made regarding CA final. It continued the traditional biannual format.
